Shipping Terms
These Shipping Terms describe how Crandall Co. Distribution handles order processing, freight coordination, delivery scheduling, receiving responsibilities, and shipment-related claims for wholesale transactions. Last updated: April 14, 2026.
Shipping Coverage and Fulfillment Model
Crandall Co. Distribution coordinates shipment of case and pallet quantities for commercial customers. Shipping availability may depend on product class, order volume, destination region, dock access, and freight carrier capacity.
Certain items may require minimum order quantities, consolidated routing, or regional distribution planning before release.
Processing and Lead Times
Order processing time begins after order review, inventory confirmation, and payment or account approval where applicable. Transit timing depends on route, carrier, weather, seasonal demand, and operational conditions.
- Stated delivery estimates are planning estimates only.
- Inventory allocation may be required before freight is booked.
- Split shipments may occur where product lines release from different inventory positions.
Freight Quotes and Shipping Charges
Freight may be quoted separately from product pricing unless expressly included in a written proposal or invoice. Shipping cost may vary based on pallet count, weight class, fuel conditions, carrier routing, delivery type, and requested services.
Delivery Access and Site Requirements
Buyers are responsible for supplying accurate delivery details, including address, receiving hours, contact information, dock access, liftgate need, and any limitations affecting freight delivery.
- Missed appointments or inaccessible receiving locations may result in additional carrier fees.
- Residential, limited-access, inside-delivery, liftgate, re-delivery, or storage services may generate added charges.
- The buyer must provide a safe and commercially suitable unloading environment.
Inspection at Delivery
All shipments should be inspected promptly at the time of delivery and before goods are accepted into stock where possible. Visible damage, carton crush, pallet collapse, shortage, or incorrect item delivery should be noted immediately and reported without delay.
Transit Delays and Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delay caused by events outside reasonable operational control, including carrier interruption, labor shortage, severe weather, roadway disruption, government action, supplier delay, equipment issue, force majeure, or warehouse interruption.
Refused Deliveries and Failed Receipt
If a buyer refuses an order without approved cause, misses the delivery appointment, or cannot receive the freight, the buyer may remain responsible for original shipping charges, reconsignment fees, return freight, storage, and any related operational cost.
Damage, Shortage, and Shipping Claims
To help us review a freight-related issue, buyers may be asked to provide photographs, delivery paperwork, bill of lading notes, pallet labels, carton counts, and a written description of the shipment exception.
Failure to report visible issues promptly may limit our ability to support or process a shipping-related claim.
Additional Service Charges
Orders requiring appointment scheduling, liftgate delivery, inside delivery, residential conversion, limited-access handling, delayed unload, detention, rerouting, or storage may incur extra shipping charges beyond the original estimate.
